Energy-efficient single-ply membrane roofing for flat and low-slope commercial buildings, with heat-welded seams that form one continuous waterproof surface.
Roof system
TPO Roofing explained
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply membrane installed over a solid substrate, usually an engineered insulation system. Seams are joined with hot air, fusing the sheets together instead of relying on adhesive tape.
The white surface reflects sunlight, which can lower cooling costs on large buildings. Membranes commonly range from 40 to 80 mil thick and can be mechanically fastened, fully adhered or ballasted.

How we help
What Blackstone Does
New TPO systems
Tear-off or recover, insulation, membrane and flashing for the full roof.
Seam and puncture repair
Heat-welded patches that bond permanently to the existing membrane.
Leak investigation
We trace leaks at curbs, drains and penetrations and fix the source.
Questions
TPO FAQ
Can TPO go over my existing roof?
Sometimes. If the existing roof is dry and code allows another layer, a recover can save tear-off cost. We confirm with a moisture survey first.
Is TPO good in hot climates?
Yes. Its reflective surface keeps roof temperatures down, which is why it is popular across the South.
Can people walk on a TPO roof?
Yes, but heavy traffic areas around equipment should have walkway pads to protect the membrane.
