Questions

Hail Damage FAQ

More Answers
Does insurance cover hail damage from the Phoenix and Deming storms?

Hail is a sudden, accidental event, so it is generally covered by homeowners and commercial property policies, subject to your deductible and policy terms. Document the damage with dated photos and report it to your insurer promptly.

How do I know if hail damaged my roof?

Look for dents on gutters, vents, AC units and cars. Those usually mean the roof was hit too. Shingles show dark bruises and granule loss; tile cracks; metal dents. A free inspection documents damage you cannot see from the ground.

What size hail damages a roof?

Hail about 1 inch (quarter size) and larger can damage shingles, skylights and vehicles. The Phoenix storms produced hail up to 2 inches, and golf-ball-size hail was warned in Deming.

How long do I have to file a hail claim?

Deadlines depend on your policy and state, but report damage as soon as possible. Early, dated documentation links the damage to the October 2026 storms.

Can Blackstone help with my insurance claim?

Yes. We document the damage with photos and measurements, meet your adjuster on site, and complete the repairs once the claim is approved.
