Roof system
Tile Roofing explained
A tile roof is made of overlapping tiles fastened to a solid deck over underlayment. The tiles shed most water; the underlayment beneath is the true waterproof layer.
Well-installed clay tile can last a century. Tiles come in terracotta, concrete, stone-coated steel and composite, in barrel, flat and S-profiles.

Questions
Tile FAQ
Why does my tile roof leak if the tiles look fine?
The underlayment under the tile usually wears out long before the tile. Replacing it often stops the leak.
Can you reuse my existing tiles?
Often yes. We remove, store and reinstall sound tiles and replace broken ones.
Can I walk on a tile roof?
It is easy to crack tiles. Leave roof walking to trained crews.
