EPDM Roofing explained
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a synthetic rubber membrane, often called a rubber roof. It comes in large sheets, which means fewer seams on big roofs.
EPDM stays flexible in freezing temperatures and resists UV and weathering. It can be fully adhered, mechanically fastened or ballasted with stone.

Questions
EPDM FAQ
Why is EPDM usually black?
Black EPDM absorbs heat, which helps in colder climates. White EPDM is available where reflectivity matters.
Can EPDM be patched?
Yes. Clean, primed EPDM accepts patches and seam tape well.
Can EPDM be coated?
Yes. Specialty coatings can restore an aging EPDM roof that is still watertight underneath.
